"I wouldn't let personalities affect investing" I find that the only way I can keep this from happening is to fully recognize any prejudices and dislikes in advance. Biases become most dangerous when you don't know you have them. My opinions about MSFT are similar to yours, but I own MSFT stock. I suspect that you are right about some form of internet -Java- HTML approach eventually becoming the "normal way", it's just that I'm less sure exactly what form this will take, and suspect that it is quite a few years off. I'm interested in your opinion as to what type of applications best lend themselves to each approach.
