What are the rules concerning day-trading in a IRA account? You can't short a stock? You can't use margin? You can't day-trade? You can't buy 100 shares of XYZ for $100 several times in the same day (plus or minus a few dollars) with only $10,000 free cash, because the trades do not clear until the next day... and if you trade the same stock three times that's $30,000 dollars of stock you bought and sold?

Also if you have a hundred shares in a regular account and sell 200 ... have you sold the sold the stock and gone short 100 shares with one trade?
