KIDE.. I played with that one last quartert and held for a while.. What I liked is that in Investor's business daily the last two days they had articles on two pretty obscure stocks that I'm still holding: CHRS and CATH. I really like the small ones. I had finally sold FWRD from my longer term portfolio as it was down for all of 2 days, only to watch it spurt up again today. You don't need more than 1/2 dozen of these small ones, if you find a good one they'll behave like a 'net without the aggravation. I picked up some CAMP right after earnings and the rise there has been steady if uneventful. And jsut like the deal with BAMM, I am expecting some stocks that have surged then fallen (i.e. SKYM, PRFM) to recoup some gains and perhaps start another uptrend. Its now more than just technical analysis or even fundamental analysis its keeping on top of partnerships (the CSCO's and AOL's out there recruiting smaller companies and/or companies like FLAS, STMP, PHCM, RIMM) coming up with totally unique products. Reading a lot, so an engineering education would have helped me that's for sure. I tried subscribing to a semiconductor/ and other highly technical magazine but found the reading to be 'over my head'so I opted to stick with telecommunications, and of course the net.. Probably attending a daytraders show sometime in September in California and other shows geared to electronic trading. My own kids are so removed from the market, one will probably get into software development and the other as we are speaking is probably flying somewhere over the European continent in what I hope is a sturdy stucture. Some news articles are being written probably to be published sometime in mid-august early september when I can find the time for follow up interviews, but I'm not in a rush. Looking for another week perhaps at end of August to meet my son in London. He already has an internet connection on his laptop, so I won't trade but I'll still be doing the watch lists.. it would be when the earnings plays have played out..
