Can someone help me? I currently live in Massachusetts but I am moving to Illinois. My lease in IL started on July 3rd, however, I will not be moving in until this weekend. My question is, will my capital gains for this year be taxable in both MA and IL? I believe I will have to pay full taxes in MA because I resided here more than half the year. I am not sure about IL. If anyone can help me out I would appreciate it. Thank you in advance.
