RB,

Which company do you use for Shorting?

I am starting to think that Shorting can be very profitable at times.

TIA,

Manny T.

Robert, I'd love it and I'm sure others would if you would share your short ideas and/or picks with the thread. I'm fairly new to shorting (a few weeks!) but I've been doing puts for nearly 4 years. I love YHOO yet bought puts twice this month already and calls 3 times, made money all the times. First short was CUST.. once wrong (not covering until it turned positive), once wrong with PHCM, but both times cost about 2 or 4 points (once from profit, once capital).. upside was 12 points on short CUST and MAIL. Made 32 points on CUST since June 17 long and short.. that's my only claim to fame thus far, but I'm enjoying it. I will not bash CUST, nor will I bash MAIL or even SKYM.. If its a scam I'll find out soon enough, I rarely stay in long enough for the scam to destroy the stock.

I usually average 4 trades a day, sometimes 3.. only more on very up days..If you would rather put your shorting ideas on the thread, I will put them in a 'well informed trader' portion of the Market Gems website. I don't really relish everything I read simply because I like to see how this plays out in the field in a real trading situation. I've gotten a program on "artificial intelligence' that I'm beta testing for someone and to be honest the stocks that come forth are very slow moving, obscure, hard to find the correct buy signals and the back testing is below the normal 'buy and hold' theories. But the program costs $1,950 ......
