Lost the lottery (again). Phisteria hasn't raised it's ugly head so far this year. N. Carolina had some problems along that line too. The stripers are still thriving for now, DNR values their economic impact. Alewives got overfished for bait and chum and that's probably the biggest forage problem. Awesome crop of sea nettles this year though.

Crabbing is almost non-existant. Crabs running $100 a bushel over the fourth. They've been declining for years, but nobody wanted to hear it. Sound familiar to striper fans of yesteryear? A female blue crab literally lays something in the 7 figures for eggs every year. a little help decreasing the pressure and they should do alright. Here's and idea! Don't harvest females! I shouldda been a biologist. Stripers and black drum are big crab eaters, so that cycle has to be impacted too.
