In USAToday there is an article titled:

Web growth outpacing search power
By Mike Snider, USA TODAY

**************** an excerpt ****************

Internet search services can't keep up with the rapidly expanding Web and check at most only one of every six pages, a study in Thursday's journal Nature says.

"What's declining is the volume of information you can efficiently search related to the volume of information on the Web," says Steve Lawrence of NEC Research Institute.

Search sites are not deliberately ignoring parts of the Web, the study says. New sites can ask to be listed in the engine databases, and each site has programs that seek out new sites and pages.

The researchers suggest using two or three search engines when hunting, or a "meta-search engine" such as Metacrawler that combines and sorts findings from several search engines.

The hard copy specifically gives the website address of www.go2net.com/search.html. The online copy has a link tp Metacrawler.

anyone who did not listen to the conf call (from last week) on vcall.com really should. I just got around to listening to it this morning. It really was amazing to hear all of the plans for the company as well as the growth and profit potential! She talks about gnet in the beginning, but really directly speaks of it around 17min in. You can fast forward the recording.

Email should be a BIG help. AOL treats their "unlimiteds" very shabbily - repeatedly and gratuitously logging them off just at the wrong moment! I'd jump to Email @go2Net.com in a flash- and just think - every email every subscriber sends gets the go2net name out there in front of more people. (with GOTO out there confusing everyone it will help millions remember how to spell our name right!)
By the way - are you looking at the commtouch IPO?
