Arrowhd- I think your job is tougher because the time frame is stretched out.

Been reading. I think people are now comfortable that IBM has a good strategy that will be making money a long way down the road. Quarter to quarter is now a given- it's the one and two year time frame folks are pricing IBM on.

That article about the Dell customer confirmed my opinion (at least to my own satisfaction) that when you want to do commerce on the web, and you don't want to roll your own, you go to IBM to get hooked up. If you are talking real money.

The good margins are in the big money systems.

Arrow,
What I am afraid of is the feeling that the expectations of the 2Q results are so pumped up that even a beating of the consensus by 10% will not be enough.

The surprise of the 1Q will/could hammer down the 2Q results.

Regards, Lex
