Tom also has a history of making predictions that just don't come true. He once said that AMD K6 was going to trounce the Pentium II. He tossed in a whole bunch of comments on how AGP isn't necessary, that no one really needs it, and "proved" it with benchmarks. He even suggested selling INTC and buying AMD stock last October during the Microprocessor Forum when the K7 "foils" were introduced. (INTC is up 50% since then, AMD was way up for a little while, then fell way back down.)

I think his credibility is fine. It's his objectiveness that isn't.
