Going to play Rod ... with my own post mortem for the day...
1) To a point the Chief made a few days ago... I was trying to watch too many stocks this morning and missed the rally on MCF - after selling on the open yet at $7.20!! Had 5 or 6 tickers going, made a phone call for 5 minutes... and that was that opportunity missed. One of my favourite quotes is.."The only difference between a good trader and a bad trader is focus"... Ain't that the truth!!!
2) Never mix up trading with fundamentals... I think MCF is a great stock... I've even been accused of falling in love with it by some <ggggg>... sitting here all day with it short was true torture... but boy ... it sure looked overbought to me most of the PM... if it isn't down tomorrow on open (when I hope to go long) I'll eat one or two of those crows. I don't think I would have jumped on the long band wagon without careful consideration. Watching the chat from the other side for a change was kinda interesting after 3:00ish. (At the same time, you'll notice that I didn't hold my short over night <gggg>!!)
3) Holding MCF short today was WAY BEYOND my risk tolerance. I've only ever shorted once before and got burnt... I have no idea why I decided to pick MCF today to do it a second time. I think it was probably because I was pissed off that I missed the rally. Technically I thought it looked like the right thing to do and as it turned out, it worked out OK... but I was really sweating a few times with my finger on the validate button when it hit $4.90 (which would have been a REALLY stupid point to sell given that it never would have even tested the $7.95 resistance level).
4) Always believe the Chief - he called that $4.95 resistance long before it showed up in the market depth... sorry if I've ever, ever, ever doubted you Chief (which of course I haven't) <gggggg>.
