anyone know what happened junk bonds today?....
the strength of the long bond today may be the flight to quality that we witness last sept-oct..
widening spreads will mean furhter deleveraging i would assume since most hedge funds short the long bond and buy the junks to get the difference..if long bond strenghens and junk bonds fall then their will be pain all around...

Wayne, >>I think it is safe to say that people are carrying a very high load of interest bearing credit compared to the past.

I agree with your thoughts on this issue. The big question is when does the system fall apart under its own weight. The retail numbers today looks like there is still consumer purchasing power. We are seeing corporations able to obtain debt lately and this cash will be spend somewhere. Either for real investments, credit to their customers, buying other companies, or buying back their own stock. It looks to me like the spending binge is not over just yet.

To All,

Has anyone seen any statistics about the aggregate value or replacement cost of software developed by companies themselves?

I'm not talking about software companies and packages that are bought. I'm talking about in house home developed systems that support the business that the company is in.

Any info or direction at all would be appreciated.

Wayne
