Bill, re <<They wouldn't just happen be ignoring Bloomberg and taking on SI posters because of the apparent 'easy target' aspect, would they?>>

I assume you mean an easy target in terms of "easy to silence", rather than "easy to defeat in court".

If you take the point of view that this is merely a SLAPP without any likelihood of resulting in a win in the courtroom for HITT ...

... then it comes down to the issue of whom can be intimidated into forgoing their First Amendment rights, rather than the issue of whom can be defeated in court.

Presumably HITT is aware that they cannot intimidate the 800 pound gorilla, so they look for whomever they think they can intimidate.

They were indeed successful in silencing a few critics on this thread, who disappeared after the SLAPP was announced.

BTW, did you know that if you go to www.hitsgalore.com, and do a search on the word "scam", you come up with dozens of hits?

Three things they generally have in common:

(1) Most of them are ads for MLM's and similar "business opportunities".
(2) The typical ad says something like "I know this is hard to believe, but ...."
(3) and the ad text cleverly adds, "This is not another scam."

Irony:

If you look elsewhere on http:www.hitsgalore.com for a description of the stuff that HITT would like to sell you, you can be the judge, but you might find something resembling points number (1) and (2).
