It does if they plan to cut margins drastically on the game console in favor of the high margins for the games console owners will buy later.

Not that I'm pretending to know RDRAM prices, though.

Unclewest,

Re:" >>Kash thinks it's going to be a $300 difference for 256M.<<
sony pII is reported to be using 2x128 rdram-d. in addition to an awesome game machine, pII is also reported to be a functional home computer system priced at under $500. the numbers (300 and 500) don't compute."

Are you sure that Sony playstation will consume 256 MegaBytes of RDRAM.

And secondly what is the projected price for 256Megabytes of RDRAM.

I had read Hyundaii VP expecting prices to hit $150 for a 128Mbyte module by end of 2000.

That's approx. 2x todays SDRAM PC 100 pricing.

Perhaps you have better numbers.

Or are you invested in a stock when you have no idea of the companys product pricing and benefits.

Or perhaps you can tell us what the performance adders of RDRAM will be in the PC desktop space for this coming year.

Regards,

Kash
