Get prepared for engineered earnings at XOMA. I have not posted this before since the
chances were dependent upon the last floorless convertible being actually bought at the
60% premium figure. It now looks like it has a chance of being issued at that price. The
premium over market for the shares sold will come onto XOMA's books as "income".
They might take it in just one year or they might spread it over two years. So if and
when this happens and you see earnings, lets not be among those making stupid post.
We can all do that on our own without any help from the creative accounting brought to
us by Wall Street and the IRS.

BTW this is not XOMA's fault. They are required to report this "premium" if it actually occurs as income. Just let's not get all excited if and when and if we see earnings, without checking to see the details behind them.
