Obviously MESG plans to expand into some or all of these places. However, they may also be trying to avoid future cybersquatting. Hence the reason for registering the .io name, which is relatively useless (Britain, Indian Ocean Territories). I just checked for Canada (.ca)... nothing there, mainly because they would actually have to open an office there first (annoying domain name bureaucracy!).

Who knows how fast all the expansion is going to be... but with the number of cards that are facing up on the table already (just look at the contracts), it's obvious MESG has gorilla plans.

Sometimes stuff is too obvious.

(.va) This is a surprise. No it ain't Virginia! Try Vatican City State. Lord only knows what they are going to do with this.

Check messagemedia.va out... 206.161.233.168

va nameserver = DNS.it.net
va nameserver = DNS2.it.net
va nameserver = NS.PIPEX.net
va nameserver = NS0.PIPEX.net
va nameserver = NS1.PIPEX.net
va nameserver = michael.vatican.va

How about those name servers. They have all of Little Italy covered.

I can see it now... I wonder if anybody will confuse email from messagemedia.va with a message from God? Prayer in the box, that sort of thing.

Although I'm joking, I've seen a glimpse of the future and the Y2K problem can be solved easily by rewriting the Bible to say "Message of God" in place of "Word of God". That way, the X-generation will understand it and we can all get on with the routine of saving the World from itself.

Buster, if you are peeking, you can one-up the Vatican server (michael.vatican.va)if you name yours...

(.uy) Last one, messagemedia.uy... Did someone say Uruguay?

Check it out... 206.161.233.168

How about those uplinks...

uy nameserver = NS.EU.NET
uy nameserver = NS.UU.NET
uy nameserver = SECIU.EDU.uy
uy nameserver = UUCP-GW-1.PA.DEC.COM
uy nameserver = UUCP-GW-2.PA.DEC.COM
uy nameserver = seciu.uy
uy nameserver = ultra.seciu.uy

It's getting late and I'm going home to walk my dog so I'm won't put much into this one.

The primary dns (seciu.uy) doesn't appear to be running. Talk about being in front of the curve.

The secondary name servers that keep showing up in these domains are

UU.Net - owned by MCI Worldcom and,
EU.NET - owned by Qwest

Both these companies are know for their fiber optics. Probably doesn't mean much for email, but it will sure make a difference for VStreaming. Anyway, from what little I have uncovered about Messagemedia -- and it's more than what Beth will tell you -- Messagemedia is building a first class business. No, I take that back. When you travel to the Mountain, Beth will tell you Messagemedia is building a first class business, she just won't tell you how.
