Keep in mind that MSPG has a strong independent streak. It seems unlikely (IMHO) that MSPG will be bought outright. I think a combination of businesses -- not necessarily a merger, even -- is more likely to be what MSPG is considering.

The Dell rumor has been kicking around for a while, FWIW.

Here's my guesses as to what MSPG is up to in order of likelihood:
1) A deal w/a large portal such as Yahoo where MSPG funnels traffic to the portal; the portal attracts subs to MSPG
2) MSPG buys MSN's subscribers for stock & cash
3) MSN buys MSPG
4) MSPG signs a strong co-marketing agreement with or merges with Gateway or Dell (or Compaq, who can't seem to decide what kind of company they want to be)
5) Bell South buys MSPG
6) Major new Web hosting initiative
7) MSPG strikes a deal with a satellite broadband access provider

Peace
Mr Bones
