Sector: I agree. The stock had a bid-ask of 14 3/16-1/4 and looked like it was going up. The follow-through should come in the first 20 minutes. I would put in a sell order in advance reflecting a stock value of 14 1/2 which is the short term resistance. For calls this deep-in-the-money there is going to be little liquidity and the bid for the call is probably going to reflect a significant discount to intrinsic value. In those few times I have found myself in this pleasant position <G> I have found it advantageous to first sell the stock at the price you want and then call your broker to exercise the call so as to cover the short.

Sector, having no idea of your tax situation it is difficult for anyone to advise you. But for your consideration....I have grown to have confidence in the long term future of MRVC, due in no little measure to your extremely instructive posts over the last 6 months. I know that you share this positive outlook. So, perhaps you could exercise the options, thus adding to your shares with a cost basis of $5 plus your option cost. The long term capital gains tax rate, now at 20% with Congress making noises about 15% retroactive to 7/1/99 (we can all hope, can't we?) would enable you to share less of your gains with our greedy Uncle when the shares are sold. Congratulations on your astute purchase. BP
