I tend to agree that if they were to blow the qtr. it would be silly for the company to refute H&Q's views right off the bat. In any event, even if H&Q were correct in its call, with the stock at $14 I'm not sure that $.73 or $.63 makes much difference. Check out the Ratio Comparison page yahoo.marketguide.com

adjusting the ratios for a $14 stock price Price/Sales and Price to Book are down to 3.8, and overall the ratios are about 1/4 of the rest of the industry. IMHO anywhere w/in $2 of the April lows this puppy is washed out and a good buy. It might linger for a while (in which case there is plenty of premium to be had in selling calls), but I just do not see much down side risk form here. Got in today at $14 3/8 and later sold the Jul 15 calls for 7/8. Hopefully, I'll get to do this over and over. Best of Luck.

H&Q seems to be launching a negative campaign against Wind, surprising given that H&Q was very much involved in the financing of the convertible bond two years ago. Perhaps this campaign is being funded by some of Wind's rich "enemies" or potential suitors. It is very disturbing that these uninformed or unprincipled analysts seem to exert so much power on the market.
It is doubtful that Jerry Fiddler would make this quick and definitive a response if there was a grain of truth about H&Q's statement.

Erwin,
Could you please give us some examples of this negative campaign against wind. The previous report by H&Q was very possitive.
I havn't seen anything that would suggest that H&Q has some kind of irrational bias against WIND.

Thanks,
David
