Two posts from a credible Yahoo poster:

1. The rate on the loan is 6%.
2. The payments are current and the principal is now down to about $21 billion.
3. The termination agreements that IDTC has with Lerner FAR outweigh the cost of this POS loan.
4. If you figure in the benfits of the termination agreements, return on the loan is WELL into double digits.
5. Lerner was liscenced with the FCC before IDTC even existed.
6. All Lerner subsidiaries with whom IDTC does business have filed the proper franchise paperwork.
7. IDTC has given Lerner 30 days to file the necessary paperwork.

This hubris is so much ado about nothing that it is getting to the point of being silly. Anyone who is selling based upon this news (or rather gossip) is an absolute fool. If you don't believe in this company fine but get the FACTS before you make any decisions. And if you don't have the facts, don't write BS posts that attempt to scare other people. What has happened here over the past day and a half is just SAD.

I really can't believe how many people invest without doing the proper amount of due dilligence. Be smart and step back for a moment. Think about what you are doing and why you are doing it! <<

First a corection, $21 million not billion (typo on my part). Yes, I did call the company and left a message for David Brainson. And he returned my call in less than 24 hours....rather admirable in my opinion. They are not issuing a public statement because they feel that doing so would lend credibility to the story...and there is none. Prior to publication Herb called IDTC but he failed to write about MANY of the important facts that were revealed to him. Frankly, it is journalism at it's worst. <<

I certainly hope someone makes them aware of this ASAP.

>>Yeah, you know Herb failed to notice in his due diligence that one of the investors in Net2phone happens to be the very same company that invested in thestreet.com. The Japanese hate stuff like this. It is considered dishonorable and Mr. Greenberg has made them lose face. <<

Hmm! I wonder if that's why Cramer strongly denied that he had anything to do with the first article.
