Eric,

There seems to be a quite a bit of talk on the Yahoo board about a buyout by IBM (where have we heard this before?). I, for one, do not believe that it is anything more than a rumor. I also doubt that it has much to do with the run up. Mylex stock always seems to go up in the two to four weeks preceding the earnings announcement and then sell off either a few days before the announcement or shortly thereafter.

As for earnings, I am not expecting any big surprise here. If I recall, Mylex sort of warned last quarter not to expect any big surprises. And this is one time I tend to believe them. I am guessing they will be within one cent up or down from the consensus but that doesn't justify the current price. I was tempted to get back in when the stock started climbing up around $7 but decided it was still to much of a crap shoot.
