WOW, bold statement!!!!! On one hand, I hope you're right, since my largest holding is Q, more than double Lu, my second largest holding. I took your general advice and "reinforced the winners", by reducing Ascend and adding to Q at $127 a couple weeks ago. On the other hand, someday Q will slow down and we'll all be hoping to catch the next one. After MSFT, INTC, DELL, EMC, CSCO and hopefully now QCOM, isn't it likely that another "Great Ride" will come along......I sure hope so.

The June 26th issue of the Economist features numerous looks at the Internet and Ebusiness. You can get there by economist.com

Speaking simply, they quote Forrester Research as saying that e-business can be divided into 2 areas...business-business and business-consumer. They indicate that American e-business is beginning a "hypergrowth" (the mother of all tornadoes????) phase, with e-business-business commerce expected to double each year from now til 2003, surging from $43 billion/yr in 1998 to $1.3 trillion in 2003!!!! E-business-consumer commerce in the same period should increase from $8 billion to $108 billion in 2003. So by 2003, this research firm is estimating American commerce (worldwide commerce would be too staggering to contemplate?) to be ~ $1.4 trillion..........Wow.

Question for Mike Buckley & thread....most of us are playing this via internet hardware, storage, pipes, routers, switches, optoelectronics, wireless telecommunications, yada yada yada. What is the best software play for $1.3 trillion of American e-business to business commerce? Also, since e-business to consumer commerce is relatively miniscule (about 7% of total), is there too much emphasis on investing in consumer oriented companies, such as AOL, Gemstar?, etc.??? Food for thought; what do the experts say?
