<<Banking is the last industry to worry about.>> David:

inasmuch as there is NOT 1 MAJOR BANK OR FINANCIAL INSTITUTION IN THE WORLD that is yet certified y2k-comp, NOR 1 such major UTILITY or TELECOM co in the WORLD serving these non-comp banks, NOR 1 such. WATER UTILITY co (bank employees would be more prone to go to work if there was water available), with nothing but grim reports of major potential overseas petrol disruptions along the ENTIRE chain from well to gas pump/utility co. (not many bank employees live in walking or biking distance of their banks) and
with less than 6 months left, (2.5 months until GPS rollover) could you please share your basis of such positive belief founded on such as any such 3rd party certified reports you may know of,y2k budgets totally expended, banks letting the programmers leave as no longer needed, insider reports from those in the trenches, etc., etc. (for starters, disregarding the other said interrelated chains) ?

Did you see the reported very grim report (warning) just sent banks by the Fed Reserve ?

Have you any knowledge about the (unsubstantiated) rumors regarding potentially very serious problems at BofA?

Thank you for any such encouraging objective data.
Ken
