Re SEBL and the erp market: I knew when I was writing that I was getting a little sloppy. I tend to think of the erp market as synonymous with the database applications market. That is based on my assumption that there will be a gradual merging of the various applications into suites. The drive by the customers is to consolidate all of the various activities in the company for MIS purposes. SAP of course made its name on this desire. SEBL will eventually have to go after a broader segment of corporates' computing, or their market will be swallowed up by a bigger rival.

Of course, SEBL has time to greatly increase its scale. And during that time some money can be made. But that only emphasizes how much smaller they are today than the largest eventual rivals.

Larger rivals include orcl, sap and ca, in my opinion.
