Richard, I can see you're investing a lot of emotional energy in this post, so I'm not sure responding to you is going to do any good. But I will try nevertheless. sigh

If a company is beta testing their site, and they request feedback from the customers, I would suggest they 1. Hire the necessary people needed to look at the suggestions and respond or 2. Limit the number of beta site user inputs. As I said, I never received an auto-email response on 5 suggestions. If you had a different experience, there could be a variety of reasons.

You complain that the change is not dramatic enough, then you complain that there is change at all. Internal contradictions are a sign of sloppy thinking, or else of simple whining.

I may be a sloppy thinker Richard, however, you certainly didn't identify it in that teenage linear thinking paragraph. If you are going to put every one of your customers through a change to the user interface they've been accustomed to for nearly 4 years, make it a "value added change". Moving links, changing their name, and confusing the customer only because you want to exercise the HTML team is not reason enough. The look and feel of this site is important. Actually, initially I thought it might be a decent improvement, however, after I used it for nearly a week, I see very little improvements or value added.

You can disagree with me all you want Richard. And you can rant about people whining if you wish. I can see disagreeing agreeably to you is a strange concept. Open dialogue is probably a real struggle for you too. However, If you want to look for an argument with a fellow poster, I suggest you visit the "Flame thread". It would probably feel more like home to you.

It's rude people like you that are slowly destroying the special bond and community feel of SI.
