Skeeter, Re: name one pc mfr that has agreed to invest their own serious dollars in rdram? Could it be because PC manufacturers, like Dell, do practically no R&D? Instead, they rely on Intel and other semi mfrs for the chips, MSFT for SW, 3COM and Intel for ethernet cards, Intel for mobos, Seagate etc. for HDs. Investment in a Rambus by a Dell would be under the heading of R&D, I believe. Dell is throwing in with Big Blue for all the rest of their R&D hopes.
