I haven't heard any rumors. Someone on the Avid thread suggested maybe it was them, but I doubt that. I was thinking maybe someone bigger like Sony, Philips or Panasonic would love the bonus market share the former GVG could provide them in the switcher, router and news automation markets. Not to mention the exciting Profile product, I would assume that's part of the deal. I'm trying to picture the NAB show next year with a small Tek booth pumping the latest "Video Test Solutions", while the former GVG sits in unfamiliar territory, showing off the latest HD production stuff.

They are entertaining suitors, some of whom are not exactly in the Video Biz. You could be serious about "auto parts business" perhaps?
