based on the validation that inclusion in the SP gives QCOM... AND: it means that every SP index HAS to buy QCOM. Remember AOL? Look at AOL between Dec and Feb. That is what we have ahead of us. My only regret is not buying more >>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Boy do I remember, I bought my first shares of AOL a week before that one. I hope yor right about a mid-day dip cuz I'd be buying more but I rather doubt it. Too many shorts looking to get OUT OF THE WAY!!

<<Regarding addition to the S&P... yes, it does not change the intrinsic value of the company, but it probably means a boost in the valuation of the company...>>

What being in the S&P really does is give QCOM more stability on the downside. With heavy institutional ownership (just imagine how many shares will be purchased by the Vanguard 500 index fund, for example), we won't see the stock tanking everytime some idiot writes about the great future for GSM and all the technical problems of CDMA. We also won't see such a spectacular increase as occurred in the last few months. But the earnings should continue growing nicely.
