Input on investment in Wink Communications.Vulcan Ventures Inc. Invests $10 Million in Wink Communications, Inc. Wink Deployment Planned for Vulcan-Owned Cable Properties Anaheim, CA, December 2, 1998 - Wink Communications, Inc. today announced a $10 million investment in the company by Vulcan Ventures, the investment entity owned by Microsoft co-founder Paul G. Allen. As part of the investment agreement, Wink's Enhanced Broadcasting™ and E-commercial™ technology will be deployed in Vulcan-owned cable systems including Charter Communications and Marcus Cable. Enhanced Broadcasting services will be provided to customers with advanced analog and digital set-top terminals. Further terms and conditions of the agreement were not disclosed.
