I just e-mailed this to WIT regarding their poor job of handling the Engage IPO for CMGI shareholders: Greetings! I'm getting a bit concerned about the status of my new WIT trading account. I am a CMGI shareholder and was advised that I could participate in the upcoming ENGA IPO as long as my application and check for $2,000 was post marked by July 2, 1999. This was mailed from San Francisco on June 28th but I have not received any communication from you that my account has been opened and my check has not cleared as of July 8th. Yesterday I called your 888-474-9032 number and was advised that a supervisor would fax this information to the department handling the CMGI/Engage applicants but have received no response either via e-mail or phone call. If I don't hear from you today I will stop payment on the $2000 check and send the money to my Schwab account instead. You obviously did not anticipate the demand for this partnership with CMGI and the results are not a pretty sight. Your company has been blasted on some of the on line investment chat rooms like Silicon Investors and Raging Bull for your poor customer service and lack of response to CMGI shareholders.
