Qwest CEO Nacchio Complains About Economist Article, News Says

Denver, July 9 (Bloomberg) -- Qwest Communications International Inc. Chief Executive
Joseph Nacchio complained to the Economist magazine about a recent article comparing
him to a fictional mobster, the Denver Rocky Mountain News reported. The article described
Nacchio as ''a short, plumpish, Brooklyn-born Italian-American,'' with the swagger of Joe
Pesci's character in the Martin Scorsese film about the Mafia, ''Goodfellas.'' In a letter to the
British magazine released by Denver-based Qwest, Nacchio protested that the article
implied most Italian-Americans are mobsters, the paper said.
