tench, good point about the alpha chip. some r&d dollars have been spent to support it. alpha is going for the top 2% market that i said might use rdram, right? seriously, the alpha chip is a very high end chip, right? does it support other dram alternatives like intel? while it doesn't prove anything, it does represent a belief among rdram's biggest supporters that it might be doa. i bought a pii 300 for $1k. are you saying that prices have gone up since last year? you better tell the pc makers that one ;-) are you saying that piii outsells celerons and piis? of the whole celeron, pii and piii pie, what % do you believe are piii sales? tia...
