Benny Baga, re:"(IMHO!!)..."

Benny,

LOL!!! It is your opinion, and you do state it well!!!

OK, back to our discussion.

You mention that BancOne, First Union and others are doing presentment. I saw Bank One offers it for $4.95 a month. Hmmm... this is good, and indeed PayMyBills is more expensive. If I could get only the bill pay/present service for that price, I would be totally convinced. However, I have to have a checking account with them, and I have to pay $5.00 if I don't have direct deposit and it costs me $1.00 for each cash withdrawl from ATMs... not so sure it is that good a deal. If I never got cash from ATMs, and I had a direct deposit account with them, it would definitely be a good deal.

"MCI WorldCom realizes at least $1.00 in savings for every invoice that gets paid online". MCI saves money via bill payment, without presentment, convinces me that payment is good without presentment. Why does it not convince you? I mean, it is a fact. Could they save more by adding presentment? It is an unknown... remains to be seen.

Ooops. I mis-stated the PMB CheckFree partnership potential. I meant to say it revolves around bill presentment. (Sorry!) PMB could use CheckFree to more effeceintly present bills to PMB customers, and CheckFree would get paid in the process and PMB would save money on scanning; the customer would see virtually no changes. (This time it is right!)

I would love to use a service where everything is available via the click of the mouse. But it is not here yet, and I am waiting and if PMB offers me a competitive service, I'll use it. But first, I have to look into BancOne ;)

Just my opinion.

Jon :)
