Michael, great post, I can not agree with you more.

In this market knowing to much is not helpful for the small guy, hype smoke and mirrors are the order of the day.

I was told that ignorance is bliss - well it applies very well to today's stock market.

Well summarized ramblings, Mike. I think you are responsible for responding to RFPs in your shop :o).

A lot of people are making money on "Greater Fool theory of investing". Early in the year, most people had written off small caps where you could find value in favour of momentum in IPOs or other net related issues. Things seem to be changing a bit. Right now software and SI sector have been badly beaten down due to y2k worries. Again over done. But it IS hard to buy value and sit on it for a 50-100% gain for say 12-18 months, with volatility, when so called ignorant investors seem to be raking that kind of results in couple of months of trading.

Something is off but I am not quite sure what....
