Actually, .Trev - while I loathe Political Correctness in all its insidious mind-numbing stultification, the subject of violence to women i do not see as funny in any way. Friend of mine has spent years dealing with the phenomenon as a government agency liaison to a police force, and has some stories to tell. It does actually happen, all too frequently. I know you meant it as a funny ... that likely means you've never witnessed the reality of it. I have. Let me tell you, there's no humour there.
