bp, the avg pc asp is about $900 and falling 8-10% per year. $2k pcs are getting rare. the new free pcs will make this trend get worse.

there will always be high end buyers.

however, the masses have cast their vote and current boxes are good enough in the low end price range.

my p166 performs as good as my pii300 while surfing the net. i can't tell the difference. seriously.

that $100-$200 is much better spent on a cable modem.
