Kevin,

The other trend I've noticed is that nobody wants copper.

Copper is universally disdained. I was talking to checker at the store yesterday, and she thinks it is absurd to go to copper until 0.13u.

Kevin, Re:"The other trend I've noticed is that nobody [on the East coast] wants copper. There's a lot of concern it will turn green over time, so people prefer to stick with nice shiny aluminum."

I guess that's the influence of a certain statue off the coast of NYC, excuse me, off the coast of Jersey City. But I've heard that Hillsboro Oregonites also dislike copper in their CPU's.

I guess they don't really like "green."

Kevin,

Actually I've heard people bickering over copper too.. but I find some folks like the greenish tint.. they say it adds 'class' to the metal layers... interesting about the purists though ;)

Yeah but copper when it is new looks like gold and is cool!
