This is the NITE rumor? It should be going up, not down: Knight/Trimark (NASDAQ: NITE) will receive a $75 bid from Chase-Manhattan (NYSE: CMB).

Dear Sir: Yes, I'm very, very long on NITE and your theory is blown out of the water if you look at chart of FORE before it was taken out. I wa SO tempted to buy in when it suddenly dropped to $13 (my hubby did - yeah!!) but I didn't have the nerve. Low and behold, buyout @ $35 happened a few weeks later. IMO, the market knows NITE will have blowout earnings (look at NDB), but it's my hope the runup on anticipation has just been delayed until next week. Add to that the $75-90 offer rumour (Chase or otherwise) and I'm just thankful I didn't do any panic selling today. good trading, NOK
