Tigerpaw,

Re:" to ... FOR NO PERFORMANCE INCREASE.
That makes sense, but I disagree on the NO PERFORMANCE INCREASE. With the 400Mhz Rambus the increase may not be as large as everone hoped, but it is noticeably faster."

I am glad for my investment in Rambus's sake that this is so!!!

If the performance is there then I would be bullish on RMBS.

I would hope for a 5-10% increase in system performance benchmarks.

Or equivalent to 1 CPU speed grade.

The market has clearly shown that power consumers WILL pay a $200-300 delta for a 5-10% permance increase.

BTW, I understand initial systems will be 300Mhz Rambus memories - do these show a performance increase as well.... :--))

regards,

Kash

Tigerpaw, weren't you running some bench tests on a Camino system? or was that someone else....seemed the results were better, even though we know how rough a beta test can be.
