For a rather critical article on SAP, another much mentioned "competitor" to SEBL see

I still think that the talk of SAP and ORCL being stiff competitors of SEBl at this time is just gossip.They will eventually do better, but hopefully so will SEBL.

TD, what do you think of Siebel's strategy to address mid-market? Great Plains is the second mid-market ERP partner announced in the last several weeks. I guess we should expect this trend to continue. To me, this seems like a very effective way to leverage other software company's customer base to get Siebel wins without continuing to scale Siebel's own organization.
