E!: You're too kind to the Kanadian kanine...and never wrong :-) I was searching around for more candidates for our cash and tripped over one which had slipped my mind. Any thoughts on what used to be UNPH till it merged with Canadian upstart JDS Fitel and is now JDSU? It's a bit pricey but there's a 2-for-1 stock split due on July 23 and a 1-for-1 stock dividend though not sure of the record date. Great forward growth rate in a sector TSO would know something about--telecom equip. Fairly strong buy recs by the analysts following it. Any opinions welcome. Subject 26767 O.K. E!... Some good points there. Even if all the Y2K effects were known, there are lots of folks who are convinced that we are one step short of the end of the world. ((I have relatives in that category)). Certainly the thought of lightening up will be one of the driving factors SOMEWHERE out there. For the time being, "somewhere" appears rather nebulous as regards a time frame -- at least para mi. For sure we must compare assessments on the "big charts" ((an arrangement which I appreciate, as you do such a better technical job of assessing charts!)) Have a great weekend...be chatting again Monday evening (when I get back from the golf course, natch <G>)) PS Why is JDSU going up......and up......and up? Negative earnings, large cap. Do you have any idea what the Kanny Kanine sees in JDSU --other than making lots of money?? <g> tso
