REPORT: LUNG CANCER TEST SAVES LIVES: New York and Montreal
researchers say a simple 20-second lung-cancer screening test that finds
tumors as small as a grain of rice could save the lives of thousands
each year. The researchers say that chest X-rays usually detect cancers
when they are about the size of an orange, when hopes for survival are
slim. In a study of 1,000 current and former smokers over 60,
researchers compared chest X-rays to the more sensitive low-dose CT
scans. Reporting in the British medical journal The Lancet, they say the
CT scans found 27 tumors - about four times as many as the X-rays - and
early enough to be cut out. Every one of the cancers removed would have
eventually proven deadly, predicts co-author radiologist Claudia I.
Henschke, of New York Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical
Center. She recommends regular annual CT lung cancer screening for all
smokers, former as well as current. Each scan costs about $700, but
Henschke says the cost would come down as more tests are conducted as
part of a national screening program.

I think for about $100.00, Biomoda will do just fine.

Bob, just waiting and being patient.

Hi Jim and All,
I received my Annual Report also and was happy with what I saw. The assets are listed as $1,479,406, while the equity is $1,339,686. Cash and marketable securities look good at $317,771. To me, there are quite a few shares outstanding at $20,854,287, but not too many.
The question is, How long before the first flat panel display system will be finished? The Annual Report says, "The operating prototypes of the flat panel display systems are schedule for completion during the next several months." The CEO's report was dated June 16, 1999. Several months after June could be next January.
I am interested in your comments regarding the Annual Report and ADOT's future.
