Erik T., re:"billers not equiped to handle electronic payments..."

Hi Erik,

I bank with Wells Fargo, and use their bill pay service. Some of my bills are recurring and not electronic. CheckFree mails the check to them. I would think PMB would do the same.

I understand your concern about secure e-mail bills. I would think the e-mail contains a link to the actual bill and that link starts an encrypted session for that page.

Yes, PMB is taking two new extra steps- sending you the bill by e-mail and then receiving your approval. However, until electronic bill presentment is established, there are lots of people who will pay them to take those extra steps so they can take care of all their bill payments and reviews online. The idea that it has to be the most efficient is moot; whatever the market demands... whatever technology one can use to meet it and make money doing it.

Just my opinion.

Jon :)

CKFR has the lead thus far

>>What if I have my gardener and dog sitter send their bills to PMB.com. Bill gets scanned, presented to me through email. How does it get paid?

But here is your answer: paymybills.com

Looks like the pay anyone feature to me. Someone please argue it, and put me in my place.
