Thread, in responding to a short perpetuating the Sturza B.S. on YAHOO, I came upon and interesting fact that I knew and had forgotten.

I have been saying that from the ODP to FDA approval can be anywhere from 2 to 6 months. SNRS says this and anyone who knows the process a PMA goes through knows these to be reasonable estimates.

What I had forgotten was the KERA model. KeraVision got the ODP recommendation on January 12 and FDA approval on February 16. ONE MONTH!!!

Now let's look at what is happening with FDA. There are more PMA's being considered at this meeting and so they may be inclined to try to expedite the process and will address them in the order they have placed them on the Panel agenda. Since our SNRS is on the first day, we may find we will see the same kind of turn-around with the approval as KERA got.

This is potentially great news. Was anyone considering a 1 month approval already?
