Yep, I guess so. I placed two orders this morning, obviously I missed any outage so I won't be joining in the cry along.

I sold some EELN this morning at approx. 0800 hours PST, placed a limit sell at 47, no problems. Within minutes it hit 47, was notified about the sell within the time it took to refresh the screen. Except for losing money on the sell (no fault of E*Trade), trading was smooth.

I'm a small time trader, making only two to four trades during the week. I believe E*Trade is not the perfect e-broker, and you can transfer your accounts to Datek, Ameritrade, ect., looking for that perfect e-broker. IMO there is no company that will never crash, execute all trades within seconds, provide the perfect research, basically error free. That company does not exist yet, but given time and technology it will. Meanwhile you go with the best at this present time, which IMO is E*Trade. And if you question my belief research the BBs on the other e-brokers and find out how times their site was down. italiana
