Me??? I'm wired

Get it? Ok... True story... >"Mad dentist"???<

Everyone is familiar with the Mad Hatter from Alice in Wonderland but how many people know why the hatter was mad?

As in crazy?

Mercury poisoning

Back when Lewis Carroll wrote Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass mercury was commonly used in all kinds of hats in order to allow the wearer to adjust the fit.

Hatters became readily poisoned and quite literally went crazy from their constantly handling the easily absorbed metal. Mercury poisoning is of minimal concern at your local dental office.....

unless you are a Mad Hatter!!!
