I hope you are right about the market holding up! If it does I think you will be right about the split. I chose Feb. '00 because the Christmas earnings should be as good as previous Christmas's and that would be a boost to post split stock. Also, I think their previous splits were early in the year of the split(?). Doesn't look there is as much interest in the COST stock now as has been in the past ... as far as SI is concerned that is. Looks like just you and I are in the contest for the "split guessing" prize. <ggg> Mel
