Let me tell you something buddy. It is you that insist on characterising his behavious as criminal.

All I have done is gather all the allegations and implications here and take them to their (il)logical conclusion. See my previous post. No two ways about it, people here are calling Herb Greenberg a liar. They may not be saying it in so many words, but the implication is unavoidable. Sorry. I personally hope nothing comes of it (meaning the postings here), but that's really not in my hands anymore.

On a couple other notes:

I believe based on his story they could easily claim 200M in stock diminunation.

"Stock diminuation"?? In other words, causing the stock price to go down. If that were actionable we'd have a lawsuit every time a stock analyst issued a downgrade.

As for him filing a lawsuit. Get real.

Tell him. It's his reputation that's being called into question, not mine.

I mean do you realise that Softbank invests in his company as well as net2phone? What an idiot.

Softbank invests in almost every Internet company there is, including no doubt groups of direct competitors. They knew full well who Greenberg is, and what he does, when they made the investment in TSCM in the first place. This is hardly the first Softbank investment which he has made negative comments on.

Finally, what he did was wrong.

Funny how he doesn't seem to think so. In fact the flood of hostility he has gotten has if anything told him he's onto something a lot bigger than he had first thought.

The flames may be dying down for now, but something tells me we haven't seen the last mention of IDT in Herb on the Street.
