Hello all. I have been in DGIV for about 2 years. I usually just read and gather info from the boards and rarely post. But I wanted to present this scenario to all of you as a possibility of what may be going on with the SEC et-al. Just keep in mind that love may "the world go 'round", however money provides the axis on which it spins.. Let us suppose that Jimmy was not exagerating claims that DGIV will connect the whole world with IP telephony. Maybe he has already done it or is very close to doing it now. Who will this hurt the most? VERY large international telecommunications companies. Companies that for the most part have been growing exponentially thru out the 90s. Companies that have hugh amounts of cash and are not shy about spreading it around to buy influence. Companies that almost every government in the world depends on for most of their IP and communications capabilities. Along come this small company that will take billions of dollars and Euros and yen from these behemoths and will hurt their bottom lines-affecting share price, executive options, etc. and may even go so far as to stick the pin in the ever growing market bubble in the US that is currently one of the few financially stabilizing forces at work in the world.( Please remember I am only posting suppositions here and I admit the probability of DGIV bringing down the entire world economy is at best extremely remote and highly improbable.) Could it be possible that these companies have "twisted" the arms of the powers that be in governments to attempt to shut this whole thing down before it gets out of hand and really does hurt their treasuries? I'm certainly not one to look for conspiricies under each and every rock I pick up. It seemed to me that this one was hiding in plain sight as a possibility for the recent turn of events. Is it true? I certainly don't know and cannot offer any sliver of evidence to support this theory. Would I put it past any of the named parties to do such a thing? ABSOLUTELY NOT!
