<re: the quality of the material/reporting on CNBC>

Pristine, that is a very fine *OT* post -- I got a 'LOL' out of it!Every thing he says is, in a sense, 'true' <G>. My response to all that is, I no longer watch CNBC, except when I feel like I really "must" and can't get it quick enough on the web (Fed news within 3 minutes, Yeltsin rumored croaking, etc).

One day, a serious, higher-quality alternative to CNBC is going to rapidly emerge. Maybe it will emerge from TheStreet.Com (TSCM)'s pilot show, which is scheduled to debut on July 17 (I believe just as an hourly, weekly slot), at 10AM Eastern on FOX. God knows, we need something higher-quality than CNBC -- it's time!

Now we know either the cause, or the result of Cramer being "less than fully welcome" on CNBC - or (more likely) the result of their Dorfman-esque "censure" of his performance a few months back, when he made a minor, non-P.C. utterance about some stock he wasn't even holding. As a result of their journalistic arrogance, CNBC could be looking down the barrels of serious competition in the not-so-distant future, funded by net IPO-scale funds... serves them right!
