To thread: I am happy to say that I am a long term holder of SUNW but something has been bothering me the past couple of weeks. We all know that the PC business is rapidly turning into a commodity business. It is also widely reported that DELL is focusing more on developing and selling servers. Q. Can anyone tell me if the direct sales model that DELL has established can compete/dominate the server business? I realize they are currently married to Microsoft. But, if they were to offer customized server using a Linux OS, can they compete with SUNW for marketshare. Thanks in advance, Bob.
